Chapter 5

Sean was back in Chamber one. This time there was a table in with him. Everyone agreed priority one was for Sean to able to control how the nanobots acquired fuel. He looked over the various items: Cooked steak, bowl of STIM tablets, Glass of water, Glass of Adult beverage, Glass of Juice, slab of raw beef, and a cube of bread. Sensor scans were placed around each item.

Collins leaned into the console mike, “Captain, ready?”
Sean nodded and said, “Yes.”
“First test, please.”
Sean concentrated and his fist ignited into a pale blue ball of fire.
A monitor blipped. Collins glanced at the readout. “Se . . . Captain, concentrate on the STIM, please.”
Loggar looked sideways to Collins. During the entire prep time Collins avoided eye contact. Something was off. Loggar leaned toward the monitor and said, “Sean, I’d like you to concentrate on the raw meat first.”
Collins frowned and switched off the mike. She turned on Loggar. “May I ask why the raw meat first?”
Loggar stared into Collins’ eyes. “That’s what I wanted to start with.”
“I thought we had a plan and tha . . .”
“I changed my mind. I think we should go through organics first.”
Collins counted to ten. Even though Loggar was head scientist and the Most High Goddess didn’t give her the right to hijack her tests. She switched on the mike, “Sean, there’s been a mistake. Start with the STIM, please. The instruments and computer are programmed specifically for STIM as the first test.” She clicked the mike off.
Loggar stared back.
Collins said, “Goddess. My lab, my rules.”
“I see,” Loggar replied.
“Not sure you do. We already agreed on how the tests would proceed.” Collins spotted another Doctor. “Joyce, please take over and follow the test procedures. Thanks.” Collins walked over to the door, “We need to talk.”
Loggar nodded, not quite knowing whether to be afraid or angry.
The two walked down a hallway to Collins’ office. Once inside Collins offered Loggar the visitor chair opposite her desk chair.
Loggar sat.
“May I get you something, Goddess?’
“Why not Kathy?” Loggar said.
“Seems to me we just had a power play a moment ago and I need you to still see I understand our positions.”
Loggar took that in and processed it. “Okay, point. So, what did you tell Sean after I left?”
Collins ignored the question and asked again, “May I get you something, Goddess? Water, coffee, tea?”
“I asked you a question, Karen.”
Collins dug in further. “And I asked you a question first. You want something or not?”
“I want an answer. Screw the pleasantries.”
Collins walked over to a small fridge and pulled out a juice carton. She took her time to her desk all the while ignoring the evil glare from Loggar. She hadn’t really decided what to say. She sat down, opened the juice and took a drink. Maybe more than what she should have. Loggar notice and realized Collins was struggling with what to say. “Whenever you are ready then.”
Collins wiped her lips. “I asked Sean if he understood circles.”
“And?”
“That was it. We talked about his role and what could be expected of him.”
“And nothing else? You did nothing else?”
Collins played cool as much as she could. She knew Loggar studied people for a living.
Loggar looked for tales and Collins wasn’t going to give her one. So she told a half-truth.
“I was scared, so I wanted to know how the Captain would feel if . . . if we crossed the line.”
“You like him?”
“I had never allowed it passed being professional.”
Loggar studied Collins face for a long moment. “How come you never formed your own circle aboard the Johnson? Everyone I’ve asked tells me you’re the ship’s Goddess.”
Collins welcomed the break and happy to discuss something she didn’t have to lie about. “I didn’t know I was thought of as the ship’s Goddess until a few hours ago.”
“Excuse me?”
“I didn’t know.”
Loggar frowned.
“Circles are not very common on board a battle cruiser. Yes, there are a few ship deck ones, and the Most High members are pretty good at keeping things on the down-low. So, no, I didn’t know I was the ship’s Goddess, so therefore I never formed my own circle, and I never saw a reason to join any of the lower rank circles, either. Having done so would have changed the dynamics as well as my role as the Ship’s Doctor and Counselor. Besides, being part of yours would have immediately made mine irrelevant.”
Loggar nodded. “Tea, please.”
Collins smiled. “Sugar or plain?”
Loggar leaned forward, “Sugar, please. Very sweet.”
Collins got up and made Earl Gray. She dropped in several sweet pellets. She poured herself a cup of Zen Calm, walked back to her desk and handed Loggar the tea.
Loggar sipped, “Very nice.”
Collins sat back and relaxed. “I accept by the way.”
“My circle?”
Collins nodded.
Loggar smiled and took another sip. On her third sip of tea Loggar asked, “Any thought on who else may join, should join?”
“Dawn.”
“I like the Commander. She’s got spirit. I was thinking of keeping the Circle small. I’m not sure adding men would be a good idea . . .”
Collins nodded, “There can only be one big cock in the hen house.”
“ . . . Sean said he experimented in his youth, but I think he’s wholly heterosexual.” Loggar giggled, “You’re right about that. Sean is strong, but not terribly tough when it may come to sharing. I don’t want to take the chance, but if we were to have men, who?”
“Part of the Command Staff. Kirkland and Foster. Kirkland’s a cunt hound, Foster is a gentleman. I’d add Cookie. He’s pan sexual, but also a gentleman. No one from Engineering.”
Loggar listened. She loved Cookie’s recipes and was surprised to know he was pan sexual, but it made sense. He had that kind of spirit. She could see it. Kirkland she knew was a hunter. He was competitive and hyper-sexual. She got that the first day on board the Johnson. Foster was introspective. That would add greatly to the circle, she thought.
“What about your staff?”
Loggar laughed. “What about them?”
“None are worthy of your circle?”
Loggar ignored the underlining tone, “Not for the Johnson. They’ll stay my command staff as Sean has you and the others as his.” She rubbed the back of her neck, “Don’t get me wrong. Herb and Milkens are brilliant, but a little too immature and undisciplined. They both hyper-focus on function, not execution. And, I’m not physically attracted to them.”
Collins nodded. “And, me? Or Dawn?”
Loggar placed the cup of tea down and walked over to Collins. “You’re very lovely, Karen. Wish I had your natural color hair.”
Collins leaned back in her chair. She thought, ‘Kathy is going to be aggressive by leaning down and kissing me or she’ll drop down on her knees and kiss me.’
Loggar reached down offering her hands. She thought, ‘Either she’ll take my hands and pull me down or she’ll let me help her up.’
Collins thought control. ‘She’s seeing how I handle control.’ Collins accepted Loggar’s outstretched hands and lifted herself up.
Loggar moved in close, her chest touching Collins’. “You’re not afraid of what would happen between you and I, are you?”
Collins shook her head slowly. She answered by lightly brushing her lips against Loggar’s. “Are you afraid?”
Loggar answered back by returning the kiss. She pressed firmly and slightly parted her lips inviting Collins to enter.
Collins felt Loggar’s soft lips against hers. There was the hint of Loggar inviting Collins to cross the line. She did and thrust her tongue deep into Loggar’s mouth. The kiss grew intense and their embrace more carnal and lascivious.
Collins nearly popped Loggar’s shirt buttons as she undid them. She grabbed one breast and kissed its nipple.
Loggar reached down and slipped her hands between Collins’ legs. She played her middle finger between her folds until her panties became wet.
Collins inhaled and held back a moan. She kissed and licked at the other nipple.
Loggar’s other hand bunched up a fist of Collins’ hair. She lifted her head up and kissed her intensely. She grabbed her jaw and fiercely played her tongue against Collins’. Loggar gyrated her hips against her leg while she ran her tongue back and forth along her jaw line. Then with a raspy whisper into Collins’ ear she said, “You are mine. I so wanted you the first time I saw you.” She ran her tongue along the side of Collins’ neck.
Collins quivered after hearing Loggar’s declaration. She slipped her hand between Loggar’s legs and felt soaked panties. She slipped the panties aside and inserted one finger.
Loggar continued her tongue along Collins neck and jaw. She then pulled Collins away and pushed her toward the desk face down and bent over. She reached down and snatched Collins’ panties down to her ankles. Loggar rubbed her hand across Collins’ cheeks giving her a quick and sharp slap ever few seconds.
Collins felt an acute pleasure with each slap. She moaned involuntarily as Loggar dropped to her knees and worked her tongue between her cheeks.
Loggar used her hands to spread Collins’ legs and cheeks. Then she worked her tongue from top to bottom, occasionally slipping her tongue deep.
Then, without warning, Collins orgasmed spasmodically. She dropped to her knees, turned and looked Loggar in the eyes. “Goddess,” she uttered.
“Goddess,” Loggar replied back.

Sean was becoming worried. Collins and Loggar disappeared some time ago. Fear started to creep up on hi . . .
“Captain, relax please. Your heart rate has increased.”
Sean snapped back to the tests. He nodded and took in a deep breath. “Relaxed.”
Joyce said through the speakers, “Thanks Captain. You’re doing excellent. Let’s move on to the glass of water.
Sean nodded and concentrated. His hand flame turned pale blue. He supposed the flame was the hottest yet with STIM and Adult beverage the next hottest. The raw meat produced an orange flame and the juice produced something pinkish.
“Okay, Captain. Last test. There’s a pressure plate mounted on the door. Can you produce some sort of projectile at the door?”
Sean smiled. Of course he could. That was the original reason he received the nanobots.

Collins and Loggar entered the Lab just as Sean finished the water test. Both stepped in the test area and stood behind Joyce. Sean looked up and the two of them side by side relaxed. His heart rate soared. The monitors reacted setting off alarms.
Sean felt great. His heart raced at the sight of Collins and Loggar. He concentrated on the pressure plate and sent out a fire ball. It was bright blue with wispy electrical tentacles grasping at air. It collided with the door in seconds. The force, tremendous, blew the door off its hinges and warped the surrounding door frame. The two ton door landed several meters away in a smothering smoky mess of twisted metal. The entire area was silent. Sean stepped out and looked around. All eyes were on him. A bit of stage fright gripped him. He could only say the first thing that came to mind, “Oops.”
